The Assumption University Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes past student-athletes, coaches, team, faculty, staff, administrators, and friends who have distinguished themselves in the field of athletic by virtue of their performance on athletic teams representing the University or by meritorious efforts on behalf of athletics.

Nominations for Student-Athletes

1. Shall not be considered for recognition for at least five (5) years after graduation.
2. Non-graduated student-athletes may be considered on an individual basis and must have departed the University in good standing.
3. Qualification shall be based primarily on their superior athletic achievements as a student which brought distinction to the University and the individual. 
4. Legacy Category: Eligible candidates who may have been overlooked and completed their collegiate careers at least thirty (30) years prior to the current year.  No more than one (1) can be included annually. 
5. 1. Requirements to the legacy category may be waived under unusual circumstances by a majority vote of the Election Committee.

Nominations for Teams

1. Shall not be considered for recognition for at least five (5) years their mark of distinction.
2. Qualification shall be based primarily on the team's superior athletic achievements which brought distinction to the University and the team. 

Nominations for Coaches

1. Assumption's head coach for at least five (5) years.
2. A coach who has made a profound impact on the athletic program or brought distinction and honor to the University.
3. No active coach may be included.
4. Requirements A and C may be waived under unusual circumstances by a majority vote of the Election Committee.

Nominations for Athletic Department Administrators

1. Shall have served at Assumption for at least ten (10) years.
2. An administrator who has made a profound impact on the athletic program or brought distinction and honor to the University.
3. No active administrator may be included.
4. Requirements A and C may be waived under unusual circumstances by a majority vote of the Election Committee.

Nominations for Other Contributors of Athletics

1. An individual who has made a profound impact on the athletic programs or brought distinction and honor to the University.

Other Requirements for All Categories

1. Eligibility shall be based on demonstrated achievements, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and individual contributions to the team or University.
2. Nominees shall be elected by a simple majority of the votes cast by the Hall of Fame Committee.
3. A maximum of six (6) inductees will be honored in a hall of fame year.
4. Nominees not selected on their first year will automatically remain in consideration for two additional induction cycles after their initial nomination (i.e., approx. 4 years).
5. 1. If, after the two additional induction cycles, the nominee is not selected, they would be removed from consideration and must be re-nominated to be considered in future years. 

NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2023 ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME CLASS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL JANUARY 31st, 2023
