In 2018 he led the team to its second NCAA Regionals appearance, where the team tied for 9th in a field of 20 teams and had one golfer sixth for sixth overall in the region. His team was ranked as high as fourth in the East Region throughout the year and at the 2018 NE10 Championships Assumption placed third overall, its highest finish in ten years. During the season, O'Hara had two different golfers shoot a 69, tying the program record for the lowest single-round score.
