Whitney Cyr was named the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country at Assumption University in September 2022.
Since arriving in Worcester, Cyr has helped elevate the Greyhounds at the conference, regional and national levels. Under her direction, Assumption has produced four All-America performances and six NCAA Championship qualifiers, including Claudio Rocha in cross country in 2022, TreSean Bouie and Jo Santos in 2023, Tyler Delgado and Malina Bohlmann in 2024, and Bohlmann again in 2025.
The Greyhounds have also produced three Northeast-10 Conference Championship records, five All-New England champions and 11 individual NE10 champions during Cyr's tenure. Assumption student-athletes have combined for 74 All-Conference honors, 58 All-Region honors and 37 school records.
Cyr has overseen some of the best team finishes in program history. The men's program recorded its best NE10 Championship finishes in outdoor track & field in 2023, cross country in 2024 and indoor track & field in 2025.
In 2024, Cyr guided the men's cross country team to a second-place finish at the NE10 Championship. On the national stage, Malina Bohlmann finished third in the javelin at the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships before returning to the NCAA Championships in 2025 and finishing 10th. Tyler Delgado also earned All-America honors with a fifth-place finish in the javelin in 2024.
