Easton, Mass. (October 8) -- The Assumption field hockey team dropped a 5-0 final to Stonehill on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at W.B. Mason Stadium. The Hounds trailed by a 2-0 margin at the halftime break before the Skyhawks broke the game open in the second half.

Kathryn Nelson led the Skyhawk offense with three goals, giving her nine for the season. Assumption goalie Heather Philbrick (Kennebunkport, Maine/Kennebunk) made 11 saves in the loss, while Elizabeth Genovese had five saves in the shutout win.

Assumption falls to 1-10 overall and 1-6 in Northeast-10 play, while the Skyhawks improve to 6-7 overall and 1-4 in the league. The Greyhounds are back in action on Saturday, October 15th as the team hosts Bentley for a Noon start.
