The touchdown capped a four-play, 52-yard drive. The Bulldogs added a third score heading into the halftime break on a 61-yard touchdown reception by Kevin James. The scoring pass was one of two touchdowns on the day by Bowie State quarterback Clifton Budd.

The final score of the game came with 5:52 left in the third quarter as Proctor pulled down a 20-yard reception to account for the 28-7 final.

Sophomore Matt Pedone (Holden, Mass./Wachusett) led the Greyhounds with 93 yards rushing, including a long run of 31 yards. Perez caught three passes for 38 yards, including the team's lone touchdown of the game from the arm of Fernandes. Defensively, Assumption was led by a 13-tackle outing from senior Nicholas DiAntonio (Milford, Mass./Milford). His afternoon included seven solo stops, 1.5 sacks for a loss of nine yards and a pair of pass breakups.

For the Bulldogs, Budd completed 14-of-24 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns, while James pulled down four receptions for a game-high 84 yards. Bekewele Amadi led the Bulldogs with 11 tackles, including nine solo stops and two forced fumbles.
