Box Score Manchester, N.H. (October 6) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 final to No. 15 Southern New Hampshire University at Larkin Field on Saturday. The Penmen are ranked 15th in the latest NSCAA Coaches Poll.
Freshman Dana King (Windham, Maine/Windham) made a career-high 12 saves in the loss, as the Greyhounds fell to 3-5-1 and 2-4-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Penmen improve to 10-1-0 and 6-1-0 in league play.
The Penmen took a 1-0 lead into halftime as Chris Tsonis converted a header off a free kick for his ninth goal of the season.
The lead didn't change until there were three minutes left to play in regulation, as the Pemen converted a goal off a rebound.
The Greyhounds return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 9 against Saint Anselm College. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Stadium.
