Worcester, Mass. (November 17) -- The Assumption College ice hockey team dropped a 9-3 final to Stonehill College at the Charles J. Buffone Arena on Saturday evening.

The Skyhawks used a six-goal first period to take a commanding lead. The Greyhounds battled back, and played an even second period behind goals from Matt Calos (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) and Joe Fimiani (Arlington, Mass./Arlington).

Fimiani added an assist in the period, while Brennen Shaw (Presque Isle, Maine/Brewster) had an assist on each goal.

Keven Meehan (Melrose, Mass./Austin Prep) had a third period goal for the Greyhounds off an assist from Kyle Zobler (Millbury, Mass./New Hampton) to create the final margin.

The Greyhounds fall to 1-6 on the season, while Stonehill improves to 4-4. Assumption will return to action on Nov. 20 at Johnson and Wales. The game will begin at 4:35 p.m.
