Box Score Syracuse, N.Y. (October 23) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 final to Le Moyne College at Ted Grant Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore Dana King (Windham, Maine / Windham) made six saves in the loss for Assumption as the Greyhounds fall to 2-8-2 on the season and now sit at 0-8-2 in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Dolphins improve to 9-5-0 on the season and are now 6-4-0 in league play.
All the scoring took place in the first half, as Le Moyne jumped out to a 2-0 lead, striking off a blocked shot in the third minute and then extending the lead to two in the 40th minute.
The Greyhounds climbed back into the game just more than two minutes later as sophomore Josh Dutilley (Keene, N.H. / Keene) netted his second goal of the season coming off an assist by senior captain Max Roche (Medway, Mass. / Medway).
Assumption is back in action on October 26th as the team will travel to Stonehill College to take on the Skyhawks. The match will begin at 11 a.m. in Easton, Mass.
