Box Score Worcester, Mass. (October 5) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 final to Bentley University to fall to 2-4-2 overall and 0-4-2 in Northeast-10 Conference play. Bentley improved to 6-3 overall and 5-2 in league play.
Sophomore Dana King (Windham, Maine / Windham) made three saves in the loss while Jack Blatchford made six saves in the shutout victory for the Falcons.
Bentley notched two first-half goals Scott Levy and Marty Ryan had goals for the opposing team. The Falcons added another goal 12 minutes into the second half for the final margin.
Assumption held a commanding 8-2 lead in corner kicks, and had numerous chances throughout the second half with its set pieces, but could not put across a marker.
Assumption in back in action on October 8th as the team will play host to Adelphi University. The game will begin at 7 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Stadium in Worcester, Mass.
