Worcester, Mass. (October 8) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team fell to Adelphi University, 3-0, at the Multi-Sport Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Panthers struck with two goals in the first 15 minutes of play as Caelan Hueber and Nicholas Costa converted on markers in the first half. Costa converted a penalty kick at the 14:47 mark to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.

Hueber added a goal in the second half to give Adelphi a 3-0 lead in the 80th minute for the 3-0 final.

Sophomore Ben Jones (North Kingston, R.I. / North Kingston) made four saves in the loss while Ahmad Salamah made seven saves in the win for Adelphi. The Greyhounds fall to 2-5-2 on the season and are now 0-5-2 in Northeast-10 Conference play while Adelphi is now 6-4-0 on the season and 5-3 in league play.

Assumption is back in action October 16th against The College of Saint Rose. The match will begin at 7 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Stadium in Worcester, Mass.
