Greyhounds Fall by 1-0 Final to Franklin Pierce

Rindge, N.H. (September 28) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime final to Franklin Pierce University at Sodexo Field on Saturday night.

Justin Corday put away the lone goal for the Ravens in overtime, finishing a loose ball scramble in front of the net for the only marker of the game.

Sophomore Dana King (Windham, Maine / Windham) was spectacular in goal for Assumption, making six saves over more than 96 minutes of action. The sophomore held the Ravens off the board for the entirety of regulation as Franklin Pierce outshot Assumption 15-5 overall and held a 7-2 lead in corner kicks.

The Greyhounds fall to 2-3-2 on the season with the loss and is now 0-3-2 in Northeast-10 Conference play while the Ravens improve to 3-3-0 on the season and 2-1-0 in league play.

Assumption will return to action on October 5th as the team will play host to Bentley University. The match will begin at 1 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Stadium in Worcester, Mass.
