Box Score Easton, Mass. (September 6) -- The Assumption College men's soccer team earned a 1-0 overtime win over Saint Michael's College in the inaugural Catholic Cup at Skyhawk Field on Friday afternoon.
Freshman Ethan Morrow (Huntington Beach, Calif./Hyde) put home a loose ball in the 103rd minute to give the Greyhounds the victory after a scramble following a throw in.
In a defensive struggle, the first five shots on goal during the contest came from the Greyhounds, but Assumption couldn't get the ball past the Purple Knight keeper.

Once in overtime, Morrow capitalized with his first career goal, a game-winner, to push Assumption to 1-0-0 on the season, while Saint Michael's College falls to 0-1-0. Assumption will square off against Saint Anselm College in the championship game of the Catholic Cup at 2:30 p.m.
