THE BASICS:

- The Lead: No. 7 ranked Assumption saw its 11-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon as the Hounds dropped a 2-1 overtime final at Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Maddy Dobecki put the Purple Knights on the board at the 21:10 mark as she tipped in the drive by Megan Deschane on the play that began off a penalty corner opportunity.

- Assumption senior Kiley Colucci (Gloucester, R.I./St. Mary Academy) tallied the equalizer for the Hounds just 5:57 into the second half as she beat the defense and scored on a shot between the goalie's pads for the 1-1 score. The goal was the seventh of the season and 34th of her career and she is now just one goal shy of tying the program's career goal record of 35, which is held by Eileen Donahue `82.

- Just 6:51 into overtime, Dobecki tallied her second goal of the game and the game winner as she put home a rebound inside the left post for the 2-1 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- The team's No. 7 national ranking is the program's highest since being ranked No. 4 in the 1999 season.

- Assumption is currently ranked No. 3 in the first NCAA regional rankings, with Adelphi checking in at the top spot and Merrimack sitting at No. 2.

- Saint Michael's outshot the Hounds by a 12-10 margin and also held a 15-8 advantage in penalty corners that included a 6-1 total in the first half.

- Sophomore Bridget Boyle (Stow, Mass./Nashoba Regional) made five saves in net for Assumption in the loss, while Abigail Bowie had six stops in the win for the Purple Knights.

- The Hounds are back in action on Tuesday, October 27th as the team travels to Adelphi University for a 4 p.m. start in Garden City, N.Y.
