Box Score

THE BASICS:

- Score: Assumption 51, Saint Anselm 19

- Records: Assumption (4-1, 3-1 NE-10); Saint Anselm (2-3, 2-2 NE-10)

- Location: Manchester, N.H. (Grappone Stadium)

- The Lead: Behind a balanced all-around effort, the Assumption College football team won its third straight game with a 51-19 road victory at Saint Anselm College on Saturday afternoon at Grappone Stadium. The Hounds found the end zone on offense and special teams as the team pulled away for the 32-point win on the Saint Anselm Homecoming Weekend. Assumption has now scored 112 points over its last two games.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Quarterback Brendan Tobey (Lynn, Mass./Malden Catholic) completed 19 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns. He connected on scoring plays of one, 14 and 11 yards to lead the offense as he now has seven passing touchdowns on the year.

- Junior Alex Shain (Sanford, Maine/Sanford) led the Hounds with a 103-yard effort on Saturday as he picked up his fourth 100-yard game in the first five contests. He currently leads the Northeast-10 with seven rushing scores.

- Sophomore kicker Cole Tracy (Camarillo, Calif./Newbury Park) posted a 15-point game as he converted a perfect 6-for-6 on extra-point chances and also booted field goals of 38, 39 and 26 yards in the win.

- Defensively, junior captain Jarrod Casey (Milford, Mass./Bridgton Academy) led the Hounds with a career-high 16-tackle game that included 11 assisted tackles and three tackles for a loss of 14 yards. In addition on defense, sophomore Ray Sarkodieh (Worcester, Mass./St. Peter Marian) posted two sacks for 20 yards in the victory.

- After today's victory, the Hounds are off to the program's first 4-1 start since the 2010 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Hounds quickly built to a 17-0 lead after one quarter that included a spectacular one-yard touchdown grab by sophomore Ashton Grant (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) to open the scoring.

- After Saint Anselm closed to within 20-13 on a 70-yard touchdown run in the second, freshman Deonte Harris (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) answered on the ensuing kickoff with an 87-yard kickoff return TD to stretch the lead back to two scores. Harris took it up the middle and then made the Saint Anselm kicker miss on the tackle, en route to the score. Harris finished the game with eight catches for a team-best 79 yards.

- Assumption picked up a touchdown on a botched punt as Thomas Hurley (East Providence, R.I./St. Raphael's Academy) corralled the ball in the end zone after it hit a Hawk player with 10:38 left in the game. Overall, Assumption converted nine drives into points during the victory.
