- The Lead: Stonehill senior Erika Kelly blasted in the game-winning goal on a penalty corner after time had expired as the Assumption College field hockey team dropped a 2-1 final to Stonehill College in the Northeast-10 Championship Game on Sunday afternoon. This marked the fifth all-time appearance in the Northeast-10 Championship Game for Assumption and the program's first since 2002.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Off a penalty corner opportunity, Shea Healy crossed the ball over to Kelly, who fired the ball in from the top of the circle for her 26th goal of the year and the 1-0 Stonehill lead just 1:31 into the second half.

- Assumption countered just over a minute later as a great scoring chance by senior Kiley Colucci (Gloucester, R.I./St. Mary Academy) was saved by Stonehill goalie Sara Freedman.

- The Hounds tied the game at 1-1 with 19:28 on the clock as sophomore Allison Sheahan (Higganum, Conn./Haddam Killingworth) took the ball up the left and fired a shot into the lower right corner from about 10 yards out to tie the game.

- Just three minutes later, Assumption goalie Sarah Bodzinski (Southwick, Mass./Southwick Tolland Regional) made a diving to her left on a shot by Kacie Smith to keep the game tied.

- After time expired, the Skyhawks had a penalty corner that ended up being the game-winning play. Sarah Morse found Kelly at the top of the circle, who blasted the ball thru traffic and in for her second goal of the game and 27th of the season.

- Bodzinski and senior Sarah Frahm (Salem, N.H./Salem) both earned spots on the All-Tournament Team for their play.
