- The Lead: Senior Taylor Chase (Holden, Mass./Wachusett) scored early in the second half for the game's lone goal as the Assumption College field hockey team ran its winning streak to three straight with a 1-0 shutout win at Southern Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Assumption held a commanding 19-8 advantage in total shots, including an 8-3 edge in shots on goal.
- Southern Connecticut picked up a 10-8 margin for penalty corner opportunities, including a convincing 7-3 advantage in the second half alone.
- Sophomore Bridget Boyle (Stow, Mass./Nashoba Regional) made three saves in the win, while Audrey Dolloff had seven stops in her fifth loss of the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Chase converted the lone goal of the game at the 55:24 mark as she took a shot from the left of the circle and found the net for her first goal of the season.
- Of the 19 total shots for Assumption, senior Sarah Frahm (Salem, N.H./Salem) had seven total shots for the Hounds.
