INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Saturday's 61-point effort by Assumption is the second-highest single-game total in Assumption history. The single-game mark for the Hounds was a 71-point showing in 2007 in a 71-21 road victory at Saint Anselm.
- Assumption outgained Pace by a 437-197 yard margin in total offense, including a 276-128 advantage on the ground. The Hounds also held the Setters to just 12 first downs while picking up 23 first downs of their own.

- Sophomore quarterback Brendan Tobey (Lynn, Mass./Malden Catholic) completed 10-of-17 pass attempts for 161 yards and one touchdown while also rushing for a pair of touchdowns. He finished the game with 44 rushing yards.
- Sophomore kicker Cole Tracy (Camarillo, Calif./Newbury Park) had an 11-point day for the Hounds as he was a perfect 8-for-8 in PAT opportunities while also converting a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter.
- Defensively, Assumption forced three Pace turnovers while holding the Setters to just 4-of-14 on third-down chances.
- On defense for Assumption, sophomore Kyle Contreras (Wappinger's Falls, N.Y./East Coast Prep) and freshman Bryce Jacob (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) led the Hounds with six tackles each. For the Setters, Matthew Corrie was the leading tackler with 13 total tackles that included nine assisted stops.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Hounds jumped on the board just 2:17 into the game as sophomore Ashton Grant (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) pulled down a four-yard touchdown pass on a slant pattern to cap a five-play, 50-yard drive. Two Shain TD runs increased the lead to 21-0 less than 10 minutes in before a Pace safety made it a 21-2 margin heading to the second quarter.
- Assumption picked up a safety of its own to go along with Tracy's field goal and three rushing touchdowns as the Hounds built to a commanding 47-2 halftime lead.
- Leading 61-2 after three quarters of play, Assumption nearly kept the Setters out of the end zone until Jeff Towle capped a 12-play, 95-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run to account for the 61-9 final.
