- Record: Assumption (8-1, 7-1 NE-10), Stonehill (3-6, 3-5 NE-10)

The Lead: Assumption trailed Stonehill 6-3 midway through the second quarter, but tied it up before half and then rattled off 24 more unanswered points to finish with an impressive 30-6 victory on the road Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Assumption took the opening kickoff and moved it all the way down inside the nine-yard line. However, they were unable to get the touchdown and had to settle for a Cole Tracy (Camarillo, Calif. / Newbury Park) 20-yard field goal.
- Neither team scored again until the second quarter, when Stonehill put together an 11-play drive capped off by a five yard touchdown to go ahead 6-3. The extra point was missed to keep it a three-point game.
- The Hounds put together another good drive at the end of the half, moving into Skyhawk territory before getting stuffed on a third and six at the 31. Tracy came on and drilled a 49-yard field goal with 29 seconds left in the half to even the game 6-6 going into the break.
- Assumption took its first possession of the send half methodically down the field and inside the Stonehill 30-yard line. On second-and-9, Marc Monks (Annandale, N.J. / North Hunterdon) connected with Dave Call (Springville, N.Y. / Saint Francis) for a 23-yard touchdown for a 13-6 lead with 5:29 left in the period.
- The defense forced a three-and-out and a Deonte Harris (Baltimore, Md. / Archbishop Curley) returned the punt to the Stonehill 45-yard line. Just seven plays later Monks connected with Ashton Grant (Manchester, Conn. / Manchester / East Coast Prep) for a two-yard touchdowns and 20-6 lead.
- Tracy had a 49-yard field goal blocked early in the fourth, but responded with a 30-yard field goal with 3:17 remaining to stretch the lead to 23-6.
- The defense came up with another big stop and Nolan Seward (May's Landing, N.J. / Cedar Creek) returned the punt to the Skyhawk 27-yard line. On first down, Monks found Grant for a 27-yard score and 30-16 lead with just 1:52 remaining.
