- The Lead: The Assumption College men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Le Moyne today in Notheast-10 Conference Quarterfinal action. The Dolphins struck first in the 13th minute when Salar Faryar tallied his 13th goal of the season and Le Moyne was able to hang on to advance to the NE-10 semifinal's on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Faryar got the Dolphins on the board just 13 minutes into the game when Adam Resetarits took a throw in from the right side that found Jack Ball's head. Ball flicked it on to Faryar who received the pass and shot it into the back of the net from seven yards out.

- Le Moyne outshot Assumption 5-1 for the remainder of the first half, as senior Hector Sola's (Guaynabo, P.R. / Colegio San Ignacio) lone shot for the Hounds sailed high.

- Assumption came out in the second half with high pressure, as senior Matt Gilson (Cumberland, R.I. /Mount Saint Charles Academy) registered back-to-back shots, forcing Ben Beaury into a save on his second attempt.

- The Hounds had their best scoring oppertunity in the 82nd minute when freshman Alex Moschella (Miller Place, N.Y. / Miller Place) directed a set piece into the box where senior Johnny Aviza (Medway, Mass. / Medway) corraled the ball and fired it from inside the three yard box. Beaury was up to the challenge as the keeper made a diving stop to his left, keeping the score 1-0 in favor of the Dolphins.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

- Le Moyne outshot Assumption 13-5 in the contest.

- Hound goalkeeper Brian Murray (Camas, Wash./ Camas) made two saves in the loss, while Ben Beaury earned a playoff win while also making two saves.
