HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Later on in the first half, Saint Michael's increased its lead to 2-0 as sophomore forward Cole McIntire corralled a rebound and fired it into the top corner of the net. Freshman goalkeeper Brian Murray (Camas, Wash./Camas) made the initial stop on a leaping save to keep the header from reaching the net.
- Assumption cut the lead in half when senior midfielder Matt Gilson (Cumberland, R.I./Mount Saint Charles Academy) beat two defenders on the top of the box and sent his shot sailing into the top right corner.
- Saint Michael's wasted no time in responding as the Purple Knights scored less than two minutes later as McIntire deposited his second goal of the game on an assist by senior Aaron DaCosta.
- Hounds' freshman forward Jason Lages (Edgartown, Mass./Martha's Vineyard Regional) potted his first and second collegiate goal in the second half to tie the game up at three goals apiece. Lages then tied the game in the 78th minute he controlled the ball on the top of the box and sent a low hard shot into the bottom corner of the net.
