The Lead: Ninth-ranked Kutztown scored four times in the first half and kept the offense going in the second with three more goals, to come away with a 7-1 victory over Assumption on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- The game was scoreless until Courtney Konowal broke through 12:55 into the contest for a 1-0 lead. KU then added three more goals in the final ten minutes of the period for a 4-0 lead at the half.

- Kutztown added a goal five minutes into second to make it 5-0, before Andrew Koslowski (Warren, Mass. / Quaboag Regional) put Assumption on the board. The Golden Bears added two goals in the last ten minutes for the 7-1 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

- Bridget Boyle (Stow, Mass. / Nashoba Regional) took the loss in net, allowing four goals while making two saves. Sarah Bodzinki (Southwick, Mass. / Southwick Tolland Regional) gave up three second-half goals while making five saves.

- Kutztown outshot Assumption 23-13 and had eight more penalty corners (13-5).

- Mackenzie Fuhrman and Wampler led the Golden Bears offense with two goals apiece.

- Chardonnay Hope earned the win in net for KU, making six saves over 66:18.
