THE BASICS:

The Lead: The Hounds took an early 1-0 lead off a goal from freshman Max Bilsborough (Camas, Wash./Camas), but Southern Connecticut scored three unanswered goals in the last ten minutes of the second half to edge Assumption 3-1 on Saturday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Just 11:49 into the first half Bilsborough scored on a header off a cross from sophomore Jason Lages (Edgartown, Mass./Marthas Vineyard Regional) to take the 1-0 lead. For the rest of the half both teams remained scoreless.
- With ten minutes left in the game, the Owls offense scored three goals. At 9:50, Zak Wright tied the game off a header from Ignasi Cererols and then five minutes later they took the 2-1 lead when Cererols set up Kevin Van der Pol.
- In the last three minutes, Louis Greenway-Tambini netted the final Southern New Hampshire goal assisted by Ignacio Navarro to win the game 3-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Southern Connecticut offense outshot Assumption 21-6 and produced three more corner kicks.
- Hounds goalkeeper Brian Murray (Camas, Wash./ Camas) made ten saves in the loss while Owl goalkeeper Noah Varonier made two saves in the win.
