HOW IT HAPPENED

-After a scoreless first period that saw Assumption out-shooting the Ravens 6-1, the Greyhounds got on the board eight minutes into the second stanza. Isabel Primack (Ipswich, Mass. / Ipswich) found Christina Leonard (Marlborough, Mass. / Marlborough) who collected the ball in front of the Raven's net and found the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season and the 1-0 lead. The Greyhounds outshot the Ravens 10-0 in the second period and took the one goal advantage into the halftime break.

-Leonard found the back of the net for a second time in the 36th minute of play. Shannon Quinlan (Buffalo, N.Y. / Williamsville North) sent a ball in from the right side and Leonard knocked it in from mid-air for the 2-0 lead.

-Assumption put in back-to-back goals in the fourth and final quarter to claim the 4-0 final victory. Jenna Graf (Ballston Lake, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) took back-to-back shots that were saved by Franklin Pierce goalkeeper, Addy Araneo, but first year Mia Salah (Gloucester, Mass. / Gloucester) collected the next rebound and put it away for her 10th goal of the season and the 3-0 advantage.

-Just two minutes later Salah picked up another rebound in front of the net and buried it for the 4-0 final victory.
