HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Greyhounds opened up scoring with just three minutes to go in the first period. Assumption was awarded a penalty corner in the 12th minute of play and the ball found the stick of Kileigh Hynes (Auburn, Mass. / Auburn) who found the back of the net for her second goal of the season and the 1-0 lead.
-The Greyhounds extended their lead to 2-0 with just over seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Jenna Graf (Ballston Lake, N.Y. / Shenendehowa) found her classmate Isabel Primack (Ipswich, Mass. / Ipswich) up the middle who fought through the defense to get the ball to junior Christina Leonard (Marlborough, Mass. / Marlborough). Leonard scooped it up over SNHU goalkeeper, Kate Pigsley, to right corner for the 2-0 final victory.
