HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption displayed control from the opening whistle, as the Greyhounds outshot their opposition 14-1 in the opening 45 minutes.
Kate Carleson got AU on the board early as she corralled a loose ball in the box and drove it into the back of the cage.
The game would remain 1-0 in favor of the hosts until the 82
nd minute when Carleson centered the pass into the middle of the box, where she found the foot of
Haley Brown, who put the Greyhounds up 2-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Julia Walsh recorded three saves for Assumption.
