WORCESTER, Mass. – Alexis Distasio recorded her second straight double-double, yet Assumption University women's volleyball team fell to Southern New Hampshire University 3-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first set, the two teams traded runs. Assumption would jump out to an early 10-4 lead, but the Penmen slowly chipped away at the deficit. SNHU eventually grabbed their first lead since 2-1, at 24-23, and would get three of the final four points to win the set 26-24.
The Greyhounds raced to an early lead in the second set as they sprinted to an 8-1 advantage. Southern New Hampshire refused to go quietly, as with the score 19-14 Assumption, the Penmen rattled off eight of nine points to go up 21-20. Despite a late push by SNHU, the Greyhounds grabbed the second set 25-23.
After Southern New Hampshire took the third set decisively (25-15), Assumption snagged an early 9-4 lead in the fourth set. The two teams continued to trade runs as SNHU closed out the fourth set on a 5-1 run, winning the match-deciding set 25-20.
