RINDGE, N.H. – Christina Leonard scored a program record five times as the Assumption University field hockey team defeated Franklin Pierce University 6-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Christina Leonard opened the scoring at the 3:20 mark of the first quarter, as she scored off of a rebound. Two minutes later, Leonard struck again as Lily Daily fed Leonard in the circle. The Assumption lead expanded to 3-0 at the 12:46 marker, as Leonard scored off the rebound of the
Lucy Malia shot.
Franklin Pierce would get on the board early in the second quarter as Caity Hazley snuck one in the far post. The momentum would quickly shift back to Leonard as she picked up her fourth goal of the game at the 18:21 marker. The senior capped off her scoring in the early portion of the fourth quarter, as she scored off the Daly feed.
Callie Beauparlant joined in the scoring for the Greyhounds as she scored with 1:59 showing in regulation.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kylie Gargiulo recorded four saves for Assumption.
- Leonard's five goals are the most in a single game this season by anyone in either Division I or Division II.
- Lily Daly, Lucy Malia, and Mia Salah recorded assists on the afternoon.
- The Greyhounds outshot the Ravens 26-7, while FPU had ten penalty corners to seven for AU.
- Assumption continues to lead the all-time series 27-9.
