SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Assumption University women's volleyball team was up 2-0 on the road at Le Moyne College, but they fell to the Dolphins in five sets Sunday afternoon.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED 
The two teams traded points in the early portion of the first set, but with Le Moyne leading 20-19, the Greyhounds captured the first set after winning six of the final seven points (25-21). The second set saw both sides trade short runs, with Assumption repeating the first, as they took the second set by the same score (25-21).
The script would flip in the third set, as the Greyhounds led the middle set 11-10, but the Dolphins secured ten of 11 points to go up 20-12. Le Moyne went on to win the third set 25-18. Le Moyne raced out to an early 10-2, which turned out too large to overcome, as the Dolphins pushed the match to a decisive fifth set following a 25-14 fourth-set win.
The two teams traded points in the early portion of the final set. With Assumption maintaining an 8-7 lead, Le Moyne closed out the fifth set with an 8-1 run.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Carly Goodhue led the Greyhounds with 15 kills, while Madison Lupino had 11 kills with just one attacking error.
• Kyra Belden paced the Blue and White offense with 15 assists, while Marissa Krawczyk added 13 assists.
•  Brandi Montoya and Alexis Distasio each had 19 digs, while Barbara Illig tied Distasio with three service aces.
• Le Moyne continues to lead the all-time series 24-4.
