ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Two first-half goals is too much to overcome, as the Assumption University men's soccer team fell to Molloy College, 2-0, in their non-conference finale Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Gio Fabiano opened the scoring in the 16
th minute, firing a close-range shot that snuck under the crossbar, putting Molloy up early. The Lions weren't done there, as right before halftime, Matt Laya-Vertell scored, giving the hosts a 2-0 lead.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- George Dixon IV recorded three saves for the hosts.
- Both sides fired ten shots, while Molloy had seven corner kicks compared to Assumption's four.
- The loss snapped a six-game unbeaten streak, which stretched back to September 2nd.
- The Lions still lead the all-time series 5-0-1.
