Christina Leonard picked up the 3-2 overtime winner against Southern New Hampshire University at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SNHU struck first, as Annemartine Christis found the back of the net in the opening quarter for her sixth goal of the season, giving the Penmen the early edge. The Greyhounds would come from behind and take the lead in the second quarter, as
Lily Daly and
Christina Leonard scored off
Mia Salah's assists.
After a scoreless third period, Southern New Hampshire tied things up with nine minutes remaining in regulation as Eliza Bates scored her fourth goal of the year. Neither team would score again in regulation or the first overtime period, sending the game to a second OT after 70 minutes of grueling action.
In the 76
th minute, the Greyhounds took advantage of a breakaway opportunity, as Salah passed the ball from the far side to a streaking Leonard, who put the game to bed with her second goal and Saleh's third assist of the evening, securing the Assumption victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Greyhounds have competed in five NE10 overtime games this season, including one shootout, far more than any other team, with a 4-1 record in those contests.
- Assumption outshot Southern New Hampshire 15-7 and had all seven penalty corners.
