HOW IT HAPPENED
-Shane Sullivan (Holden, Mass. / Valley Junior Warriors) opened the scoring for the Hounds early when he tipped in a shot from the point from Chase Davenport (Princeton, Mass. / East Coast Wizards) to give the Hounds a 1-0 lead.
-Dante Maribito (Georgetown, Mass. / Phillips Academy) doubled the Hounds lead in the second period when Assumption created a two on none chance after a turnover in the neutral zone Devan Sheth (Ashland, Mass. / Islanders Hockey Club) poked the puck ahead to Colin Philippon (Salem, N.H. / Vermont Lumberjacks) who assisted Maribito on the goal.
-The Hounds pushed their lead to 3-0 around a minute later when Christopher Stalmok (Paxton, Mass. / Boston Junior Bruins) received a pass from John Fine-Lease (Willsboro, N.Y. / Walpole Express) and took matters into his own hands, beating a few defenders and then putting his shot into the back of the net for an impressive tally.
-The Ravens got on the board in a span of three minutes with two powerplay goals, one from Cody Rumsey and the other from Ryan Gorbett.
-The Ravens would tie the game a minute later on a goal from Conor Foley halfway through the final frame to even the score at 3-3.
-The Hounds would outshoot the Ravens 5-1 in the overtime period but the Ravens netminder Ian Wallace would make 52 saves on the evening.
