-The Lead: The Assumption University men's ice hockey team continued their season on Saturday evening wrapping up a third game in five days against Franklin Pierce. Prior to the game, the Hounds honored 15 members of the senior class for their dedication to the program and university.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Jason Ladzinski opened the scoring for the Ravens when he received a pass from Conor Foley and Ladzinski put it past David Altman (Bristol, R.I. / Northern Cyclones) to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
-Cody Rumsey scored a powerplay goal with five minutes left in the second period when he tipped home a shot from Foley to give the Ravens a 2-0 lead.
-The Hounds would fight all evening to try and get on the scoresheet, putting up double digit shots in every period but visiting goaltender Ian Wallace made 38 saves to shutout the Hounds.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-Assumption outshot the Ravens 38-24.
-Franklin Pierce won the faceoff battle 34-29.
