-The Lead: The Assumption University men's ice hockey team continued their season on Friday evening with a conference matchup vs the Hawks of Saint Anselm. The game was a back and forth battle with the visitors scoring early but the Hounds tied it later in the first and took the lead for good in the second and protected the lead to win another NE10 conference matchup.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saint A's started the scoring early with a goal in the first minute from Jac Cordeiro to put the visitors ahead 1-0.
-Dante Maribito (Georgetown, Mass. / Phillips Academy) tied the game with 15 minutes to go in the first period on an assist from Mike D'Ambrosio (Centreville, Md. / Boston Junior Bruins)
-The Hounds took the lead with twelve minutes remaining in the second when Ronny Paragallo (Huntington, N.Y. / New Hampton School) fired a wrist shot from the circle and beat Hawks goalie Nick Howard to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.
-David Altman (Bristol, R.I. / Northern Cyclones) made 37 saves on the evening and helped the Hounds win their fifth Northeast 10 matchup in a row.

-Saint A's won the faceoff battle 30-24.
