HOW IT HAPPENED

-After a scoreless first period which saw the Hounds outshoot the Eagles 16-8, Post opened the scoring five minutes into the second after an Assumption turnover at the offensive blue line, Niko Grollman had a breakaway skated in on David Altman (Bristol, R.I. / Northern Cyclones) and put a wrister past Altman to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead.

-The Hounds responded five minutes later via the powerplay when Dara Connelly (Arlington, Mass. / Phillips Andover Academy) slid a pass to Mike D'Ambrosio (Centreville, Md. / Boston Junior Bruins) at the point who fired a puck on net and Devan Sheth (Ashland, Mass. / Islanders Hockey Club) tipped the initial shot past Brendan Brown and into the back of the net to even the game at 1-1.

-Post retook the lead with three minutes to go in the period via the powerplay when Tommy Buis fired a shot from the point and it was deflected by John Krapian past Altman to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead heading into the final frame.

-Dante Maribito (Georgetown, Mass. / Phillips Academy) scored  just two minutes into the third when Alex Mavrogiannis (Dover, Mass. / East Coast Wizards) fed a pass from below the goal line to an open Maribito in the slot who fired a one timer past Browns blocker side to even the game at 2-2.

-The Hounds took their first lead of the game just three minutes later when Christopher Stalmok (Paxton, Mass. / Boston Junior Bruins) battled for a puck on the boards and found Ronny Paragallo (Huntington, N.Y. / New Hampton School) below the goal line and Paragallo fired a pass to William Smith (Hyde Park, Mass. / Williston Northampton School) in the slot and he put a one timer past Brown to give the Hounds the 3-2 lead.

-The Hounds added an insurance goal with eight minutes to go in the third when they created a two on one chance and Colin Philippon (Salem, N.H. / Vermont Lumberjacks) found Sheth crashing the net hard and Sheth chipped the puck past Brown to give the Hounds a 4-2 lead.

-The Eagles made things interesting with the goalie pulled and scored with eight seconds left in the game and won the following faceoff and got a final shot on net but Altman made the save and set off the celebration for the Hounds.

-Robert Holyoke (Middleboro, Mass. / South Shore Kings), Sheth, and Altman were named to the All Tournament team while Sheth also took home MVP honors.
