WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's volleyball team had their home opener spoiled by the University of New Haven Saturday afternoon.

Records: Greyhounds (1-4, 1-0 NE10) | Chargers (6-6, 0-0 NE10)
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Chargers would jump to an early lead as they raced out to a 10-1 advantage. New Haven would string together multiple-point runs and pull away from Assumption in the opening set to win 25-14.
The second set started closer, but with the score at 11-10 UNH, the Chargers rattled off six-straight points before finishing the second set, winning 14-of-18 points. In the third set, the two teams traded short runs. With the score tied at 16-16, New Haven won six-straight points, and nine-of-11 points, winning the third set 25-18.
