HOW IT HAPPENED
Each team battled back and forth for the first 15 minutes or so, battling for possession in different areas. Johannes Sundgot had the first chance of the half, with his low-driven effort being saved by Devin Juan. Hunter LePage had a header effort graze over the bar as well. Jalen Jean tried to get the offense going for the Owls, with his tame shot saved by Iver Sjåvåg. The Owls got in on the action first, as Umberto Catale bounced on a scramble in the box after a corner, Putting the visitors up 1-0.  About 12 minutes later, the Owls added another as Yannick Hilpert capitalized on a cross from Jean. That would be the last big chance of the half, and the Hounds would trail 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, Jean almost got a goal of his own, but Sjåvåg was low quickly to make the save. In the 60th minute, another Owl got in on the action, as Alex da Cunha put away a header from a Jean cross to make it 3-0, giving Jean his second assist. After lots of back-and-forth action, the Hounds could not find any chances to create. Zachary Tuccitto applied pressure on a high line and forced a mistake out of the Hounds, turning in an empty net with 12 minutes remaining and making the score 4-0 in favor of the visitors. Despite a full-on attack in the final 10 minutes, Assumption would not convert any chances and would lose 4-0 at home.
