HOW IT HAPPENED
The Ravens controlled the first half. Franklin Pierce had over 65 percent possession by the time the half was over. With plenty of shots fired on frame, the visitors kept Iver Sjåvåg busy in goal but could not beat him until the 17th minute. Aaron Sanchez got on the end of a ball from Aitor Cuenca Retuerto, making it 1-0 Franklin Pierce. Not too long later, Sanchez scored again with an assist from Pelayo Gonzalez Suarez that time, with the score being 2-0 halfway through the first half. With the Hounds starting to get a bit of possession, the halftime whistle blew, with the Ravens leading 2-0.
It did not take long for the Ravens to get a third, with Jeronimo Ferrando Ferri curling a free kick effort past Sjåvåg, almost icing the game with a half hour to go. Against the run of play, Grant Maurer got on the end of a pass from Johannes Sundgot, slipping it past the keeper and getting his third goal of the year. With a bit of an energy burst, the Greyhounds threw everything into the attack, but the Ravens could hold them off.
