WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University football season came to an end, as the Greyhounds fell to Southern Connecticut State University 20-14 on Senior Day at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Southern Connecticut got on the board early, as Tylon Papallon scored on an eight-yard reception. Assumption responded immediately, as
Gavin Johnson made an 86-yard house call on the ensuing kickoff. The Owls would eventually go up 14-7 before the end of the first quarter, as Papallon had a 59-yard touchdown reception.
The Greyhounds would tie the game at 14-14 before the end of the second quarter, as
Berrell Neal had a two-yard touchdown plunge. The game would remain tied until the fourth quarter when SCSU quarterback Keith Ridley Jr. had a three-yard QB keeper and scored.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jay Kastantin led the way through the air for the Greyhounds, as he went 12-for-22 for 145 yards.
- Berrell Neal had nine carries for 32 yards, while Connor Smith hauled in three receptions for 91 yards. Keith Mancini was the top target for Kastantin, as he had six catches for 35 yards.
- Lorenzo Valencia was dominant on defense, as he tallied a game-high 11 tackles, while Tyler Royall had three pass breakups.
- Brandon Santell blocked an extra point in the fourth quarter, giving the Greyhounds ten block kicks and establishing a new Northeast-10 Conference record.
- Southern Connecticut now leads the all-time series, 12-11
