RINDGE, N.H. – The Assumption University women's lacrosse team had eight players record a point as the Greyhounds raced past Franklin Pierce University 20-9 in Northeast-10 Conference action Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started fast, with
Grace Chicko recording the game's first two points. After Franklin Pierce got on the board halfway through the first, the Greyhounds saw
Isabelle Edwards,
Katelynn Johnston, and
Kyle Johnston pushed the guest's advantage to 5-1.
Molly Weiand and
Jenna Joseph each added a tally in response to the Raven's goals, as Assumption would end the first quarter up 7-3.
Joseph opened up the scoring in the second period, as she struck 50 seconds into the frame. Following a Franklin Pierce tally at 12:35, the Greyhounds closed the first half on a 4-0 run. In the third quarter, the two teams traded the eight goals, as Assumption carried a 16-8 lead into the fourth.
In the final frame, Edwards, Weiand, Joseph, and
Kyle Johnston found the back of the net to snap Assumption's two-game losing skid and recorded a 20-9 road win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Skylar Troyan recorded five saves for Assumption.
- The Greyhounds outshot the host 43-24, while Assumption won 22-of-33 draw controls.
