HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE – Assumption University 1, Bentley University 0
Game one was a story of pitching and good defense, as the only run was scored in the seventh inning. Mackenzie Bruggeman kick-started the Assumption offense with a one-out double in the top of the seventh. After a sacrifice bunt by Kaitlyn Cahill, Heather Junjulas flared a single to shallow center field, scoring Raigan Gregoire, who pinch-ran for Bruggeman.

In the bottom of the frame, Bentley got the leadoff batter on with a walk, but a flyout and a game-ending 4-6-3 double play sealed the game for the Greyhounds.
Kaelin Waldron took the win after tossing 6.0 scoreless innings, where she allowed three hits. Anna Tassone picked up the save after pitching a scoreless seventh.

GAME TWO – Assumption University 8, Bentley University 3
Game two saw more offense, as Assumption got the scoring started in the top of the first, as Lauren Geremia stole third and would scamper home on a throwing error by the Falcon's catcher. The Greyhounds expanded their advantage to 3-0 in the top of the second, as Summer Sheerin and Alyssa Johnson scored on an error by the second baseman.
The Falcons got on the board in the bottom of the second inning as Sam Petow doubled in a pair of runs, cutting the deficit to 3-2. After Bentley tied the game up in the bottom of the second, Assumption regained the lead, as Bruggeman hit a two-run homerun to centerfield.

The Greyhounds added one run in the top of the sixth, and two more in the seventh, as they expanded their advantage to 8-3.

Tassone grabbed the win for the 'Hounds, as she allowed two runs in 6.0 innings on eight base-knocks.
