HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE – Assumption University 3, Franklin Pierce University 1
Assumption started the contest strongly, as Jordan Dwyer doubled to get on base and eventually reached home after Corin Mahan bunted down the first base line. The Hounds kept it rolling in the third inning as Mahan ripped a double to right center field, scoring Lauren Geremia, who reached on an infield single. The Ravens began to get on the board in the third, as Bella Williams flew out to center, scoring Andie Anderson and cutting the Greyhounds' lead to 2-1. It did not take long for the Hounds to respond again, as Mackenzie Bruggemann hit her fifth home run of the year in the top of the fourth to extend the lead by one. Fortunately for the Hounds, that was all the offense they needed, and they controlled the rest of the game with their pitching and defense. Assumption took game one by a score of 3-1.

Kaelin Waldron pitched a complete game to pick up the win. She allowed five hits and one run and had five strikeouts.

GAME TWO – Franklin Pierce University 7, Assumption University 3
Franklin Pierce started game two fast, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead. It took a little while for the visitors to respond, as the Hounds would load the bases in the top of the second. Summer Sheerin grounded into a fielder's choice, which allowed Kaitlyn Cahill to come in from third and score to cut the Ravens' lead in half. Amy Jones hit a two-run shot in the next half-inning that doubled the Franklin Pierce advantage at 4-1. The Ravens scored three more runs in the bottom of the fifth to extend their lead even more and put Assumption in a difficult spot heading into the final innings. The Greyhounds had a small rally in the top of the seventh, with Alyssa Johnson scoring on a Sheering sac fly and Jaiden Tonucci touching home on a fielder's choice. The two runs were all Assumption would manage, and they fell in the second game 7-3.

Anna Tassone pitched 4.1 innings and allowed six runs. Jaiden Tonucci went the other 1.2 allowing one run and four hits.
