PUEBLO, Colo. – It was an outstanding start for Assumption University to open day one of the 2023 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships, hosted at the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl at the Colorado State University-Pueblo.
Tre'Sean Bouie ran the preliminaries of the 400m.
In the second heat of the 400m race, Bouie started fast and quickly took the lead, but a late push by George Garcia of Lubbock Christian edged Bouie in the photo finish for first place. Bouie's placement earned him an automatic entry into the final race on Saturday, May 27
th, while his time of 46.114 slots him fourth.
