HOOKSETT, N.H. – Led by the Northeast-10 Conference Most Outstanding Track Performer, Tre-Sean Bouie, the Assumption University men's outdoor track and field team finished third in the 2023 Northeast-10 Conference Championships at Southern New Hampshire University, while the women's side finished seventh.
FINAL RESULTS
Alexandria O'Shea and
Sarah St. Pierre tied for seventh place in the women's high jump with a 1.52m. Isaiah Bujust made the top ten in the men's triple jump, grabbing a distance of 12.61m. In the men's shot put,
Yoofi Abaka-Amuah threw for a distance of 15.99m for fifth place.
Olivia Johnson and
Hailey Parrotti got top-ten finishes in the women's triple jump. Johnson came 4th with a distance of 11.34m, while Parrotti finished ninth at 10.69m.
Jack Mailberg got a tenth place in the men's high jump at 1.73m. To round out the field events,
Yoofi Abaka-Amuah came third place in the men's discus with a throw of 45.73m.
The women's 4x100 relay finished in sixth place with a time of 49.73. Rippstein, Strmiska, Czarnecki, and Hirschfeld ran for Assumption. Men's 4x100 relay claimed first place with a time of 40.98, with Echeandia, Bouie, Spignese, and Dixon running for the Hounds. The women's 4x400 relay saw Assumption finish in fifth with a time of 4:10.02. Namiotka, Hirschfield, Lopez, and Snow ran for Assumption. The men came fourth in the same race, with Scott, Harmon, Dixon, and Farley running. Their time was 3:23.98.
Sarah Enes and
Rose Connolly claimed top ten finishes in the women's 3000m steeplechase, with Enes getting third (12:06.10) and Connolly getting ninth (13:07.88).
Matthew Nofri got ninth place on the men's side with a time of 10:23.12.
Joseph Santos claimed second place in the men's 110 hurdles with a time of 14.10.
Camille Lopez rounded out the last-place spot in the top eight for women's 400m at 1:01.49. Assumption had three top-eight finishers in the men's 400m, with Bouie grabbing first place with a time of 46.35. Dixon got fifth (49.05), and
Eli Harmon came seventh (53.07). Spignese found himself doing well again, getting seventh place in the men's 100m with a time of 10.86. In the women's 800m, Peri Snow finished in third place with a time of 2:15.70, and Michaela Namiotka came seventh at 2:28.21.
Colby Medeiros got fourth place on the men's side with a time of 1:54.68. In the men's 200m, Assumption had four people in the top seven. Bouie came first with a time of 20.83, with Dixon coming fourth at 22.12. Spignese was right behind him at 22.18, and Echeandia came in seventh with a time of 22.22. The Hounds had three top-ten finishers in the men's 5000, with
Claudio Rocha and
Joseph Carroll going back-to-back in fifth and sixth place. Rocha's time was 15:33.37, while Carroll finished 15:34.22.
Noah Laren finished seventh in the decathlon with a score of 4,813.
Audrey Strmiska came in fourth for the heptathlon with 3,602 points, and
Caitlyn Rooney came in sixth with 3,313 points.
