WALTHAM, Mass. – The Assumption University women's soccer team battled against Bentley University on the road Wednesday afternoon, settling for a 0-0 draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game started with both teams on the front foot, including Raegan Davis making a dashing run to the goal, but her shot came up short. A big chance came about eleven minutes in, but the shot from the Falcons was just wide of
Frida Larsson's net. The rest of the half was back and forth, with both teams enjoying decent spells of possession. At the end of the half, the Falcons almost capitalized on a well-designed free kick, but Larsson came out and smothered the chance. With only thirty seconds left in the half,
Tessa Azzinaro almost capitalized on a defensive mishap from Bentley, but she could not get the shot off before the defense caught up.
The second half was more of the same, with both sides trying to unlock the other's defense.
Rose Connolly had two shots on frame, some coming well beyond the box. The Hounds had more of the ball and controlled the Falcons in transition, but neither team could score. The game ended in a 0-0 draw.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Assumption were on the attacking threat in the second half, outshooting the Falcons seven to three.
- The Hounds had seven corner kicks, while the Falcons only had four.
- The Falcons keeper made seven saves while Larsson had three while earning her second shutout.
