Emma Gurnell strikes twice, leading the Assumption University women's ice hockey team to a 2-1 New England Women's Hockey Alliance win over Post University Friday evening at the Sports Center of Connecticut.

Post was the first team to score, as Rowyn Ringor scored just over a minute into the contest. Assumption would have to wait until the early portion of the second period to get on the board, as
Emma Gurnell tallied an unassisted goal at 6:02. Gurnell struck once again at 5:32 of the third period, with
Katelyn Prive and
Mikaela Langbacka recorded helpers on the play.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Carissa Mudrak logged 14 saves en route to her first win of the year.
- Assumption outshot Post 33-15, while the Eagles won 36-of-55 faceoffs.
