WORCESTER, Mass.—The Assumption University men's basketball team fell to Caldwell University 75-72 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon inside Laska Gymnasium. 

THE BASICS:
Score: Caldwell University 75, Assumption University 72
Records: Greyhounds (0-1, 0-0 NE10), Cougars (1-0, 0-0 CACC)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
In the first half, the Greyhounds were outgunned. Assumption went 0-6 from beyond the arc while the Caldwell Cougars drained five three-pointer shots. One facet where the Hounds excelled was their ability to play with speed. The Blue and White scored 21 points off turnovers and 17 fastbreak points in the half. Assumption held a two-point lead briefly after making the opening basket, but Caldwell drained a three-pointer for their first bucket and never looked back. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

• Zamareon McCown's 12 points were the most among Greyhound players.
• Assumption shot 56.4% from the field, Caldwell shot 44.3%.
• The Greyhounds only made 60% of their free throws. 
• The Hounds lead the all-time series 4-3 over Caldwell.
