FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team fell to Sacred Heart University 4-0 in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Sacred Heart started fast, as they scored five minutes into the contest on the power play before adding to their lead at the 13-minute mark. The Pioneers extended their lead to 3-0 with a short-handed tally in the second period before taking on a fourth goal early in the third period.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jadyn Weiser recorded 23 saves in the crease for the Hounds.
- Sacred Heart outshot Assumption 27-14 while also winning 25-of-44 faceoffs.
- The Pioneers went 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Greyhounds were scoreless on two attempts.
- The all-time series is now tied at 3-3.
