PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The No. 6 seeded Assumption University men's lacrosse team 2024 season has come to a close, as the Greyhounds fell to the No. 3 seed Pace University in the first round of the 2024 Northeast-10 Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Northwell Stadium.

Records: Greyhounds (7-7, 4-5 NE10), Setters (12-2, 7-2 NE10)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Pace started strong, racing to an early 5-0 lead, and outshot Assumption 15-6 in the opening 15 minutes. The Setters carried their momentum into the second quarter, netting the first three scores of the frame.
Jackson Bulger snapped Pace's 8-0 run with his tally at 8:17. The hosts responded with a pair before
Ryan Bogar capped off the first half, cutting the deficit to 10-2 at halftime.
In the second half, Pace continued to extend its lead, outscoring Assumption 4-1 in the quarter, with the lone goal coming from
Ryan Healey at the 7:04 mark. The Greyhounds flipped the momentum in the fourth quarter, scoring five goals, with Bulger,
Aidan Rodgers,
Cameron Theriault, and
Brady McNulty finding the back of the net. The Setters' advantage was too great to overcome, as Assumption would fall in the NE10 First Round 16-8.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- James Lopes recorded a career-high 14 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- Jackson Bulger led the way for Assumption, as he had three goals. Four different players had two points.
- The Setters outshot the Greyhounds 44-41 while winning 15 of 28 faceoffs.
- Pace now leads the all-time series 17-5.
