WHEELING, WV. – The Assumption University men's golf team sit ninth overall. They shot a +21 in round one of the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional on Thursday afternoon at Jones Course Oglabay Resort. 
 
THE BASICS
Finished 9th/20 (305 | +21)

• T-12^th – Kyle Puchol (+2 | 73)
• T-24^th – Jack Moy (+4 | 75)
• T-55^th – Sean Magarian (+7 | 78)
• T-65^th – Mitchell Tarrio (+8 | 79)
• T-65^th – Colin Murphy (+8 | 79)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Kyle Puchol, leading the Greyhounds with a +2, showcased his determination. He bounced back after a slow start, birdieing holes six, seven, and the tenth but slipping with bogeys at 16, 17, and 18. Jack Moy had a pair of birdies on the day (3 and 16), but he had six bogeys and finished at +4. 

Sean Magarian shot an even 36 on the front nine but hit a +7/42 on the back nine to finish with a 78 in the first round. Mitchell Tarrio and Collin Murphy each shot a +8/79 in the opening round for the Greyhounds.
