GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The No. 2 seeded Assumption University softball team was upset by the No. 6 seeded Saint Anselm College 1-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference Semifinals Friday afternoon at Janet L. Ficke Softball Field on the campus of Adelphi University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Grace Heim was the first player to get into scoring position, as she had a two-out double to center field in the bottom of the second but could not score. Saint Anselm was the first team to strike, as Rose Reitmeyer tripled to right center field, scoring Sam Wiberg from second in the top of the fourth.
Assumption could not establish any offense, while
Anna Tassone went the distance in the circle for the Greyhounds, scattering four hits and issuing one walk.
